As a general rule, we perform basic editing on all photos, which includes:
- Culling (i.e. narrowing down the best and most flattering photos)
- Color-correction (i.e. making sure skin, clothing and environment colors look natural)
- Sharpening
- Cropping
It is important to note that there is a difference between “editing” and “retouching.” Retouching is more involved, and is not automatically performed on every photo. We typically only retouch those images you select based on the type of photography package you order. Take headshots for example. If you book a three-look (outfit) session, we would retouch up to three images of your choice.
Retouching includes:
- Skin smoothening
- Blemish removal
- Skin wrinkle reduction or removal
- Birthmark removal or reduction
- Teeth and eye whitening
- Removal of lint and smoothening of wrinkles in clothing
- Removal of distracting objects
